My name is Rebekah Churchyard, MSW, RSW. I work as a Project Manager with The Neighbourhood Group on the Neighbour-to-Neighbour (N2N) 2.0 Project. I volunteer as Director on the Toronto Council on Aging (TCA) Board of Directors, Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) Liaison for World Young Leaders in Dementia (WYLD), Young Leaders Council with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and consultant to the Co-Operators Youth Sustainability Panel. I am an active contributor to the Accountability Table for the City of Toronto Seniors Strategy.
I have been engaged with Spare a Thought for Dementia since its inception which followed the Youth Dementia Awareness Symposium (YDAS) in October 2016. Informed by personal experience as a caregiver as well as a career focused in Gerontology, I am plugged into in areas of practice, policy and research related to dementia.
